Well, he's got a better haircut than Stanzi... he's got that going for him.

In my opinion, getting Bray for nothing is better than if we'd gotten Barkley for a fourth.

Sure Barkley is better today, but Bray is someone with elite tools who needs coaching.

The team already decided Alex Smith is their guy for the next 3-4 years, and Bray is the better fit for this.

On the NFL network they compared him to Jay Cutler.

Its obvious Kaep is more talented. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ballsy move, but it worked.

cockeyes 04-28-2013 06:24 AM

Kaep had a great run this year and I am rooting for him, but he is a long long way from a proven commodity in the NFL. A lot of QBs have had one pretty good most-of-a-season. It doesn't a franchise QB make

Andy Reid adds Brad Childress to Chiefs staff

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs have hired former Vikings coach Brad Childress, reuniting him with Andy Reid.

Childress, who spent last season as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, will be the Chiefs' spread game analyst and work on special projects.

He spent five years as the Minnesota head coach (2006-10), a stint that included two division titles (2008-09). The team was 12-4 in 2009.

Childress previously spent seven seasons (1999-2005) with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he worked with Reid, the new Chiefs head coach. Childress coached the quarterbacks for the first three years and spent the final four as offensive coordinator.

The hire was announced Thursday.

If Average Smith is our QB for 3 or 4 years, we're going to have plenty more chances to draft a QB high. **** Smith....he's a 2 year stop gap at most.

Let's not exaggerate how bad Smith is. The problem is he's good enough to probably get us to the playoffs, but not good enough to consistently win or take us to a Super Bowl.

I don't think people realize how close we are with a competent coaching staff. Alex took a very good defense and running game to a score within the Superbowl.

People and wonton are gonna go apeshit when we win 10 games this season and I will be here force feeding crow.

We are going to be much better than the critics think but Alex Smith and Andy Reid are going to come up much shorter than the true fans believe. We essentially have a team built that will win about half of our games and maybe squeeze a win in the playoffs, but nothing more.

He is not good enough to get any team to the playoffs.

He is simply not bad enough to hold an outstanding team from them.

A Rivers-Bray douche off. Too bad Cutler is gone.
