That's a lotsa break-in. Even a Lotus Esprit only requires 1000.

Sorry, wrong numbers.
2015 Challenger User Guide
Operating Your Vehicle

For vehicles equipped with the 6.4L use the following engine break-in recommendations:
Despite modern technology and World Class manufacturing methods, the moving parts of the vehicle must still wear in with each other. This wearing in occurs mainly during the first 500 miles (805 km) and continues through the first oil change interval. It is recommended for the operator to observe the following driving behaviors during the new vehicle break-in period:

0 to 100 miles (0 to 161 km):
• Do not allow the engine to operate at idle for an extended period of time.
• Depress the accelerator pedal slowly and not more than halfway to avoid rapid acceleration.
• Avoid aggressive braking.
• Drive with the engine speed less than 3,500RPM.
• Maintain vehicle speed below 55mph (88km/h) and observe local speed limits.

100 to 300 miles (161 to 483 km):
• Depress the accelerator pedal slowly and not more than halfway to avoid rapid acceleration in lower gears (1st to 3rd gears).
• Avoid aggressive braking.
• Drive with the engine speed less than 5,000RPM.
• Maintain vehicle speed below 70mph (112km/h) and observe local speed limits.

300 to 500 miles (483 to 805 km):
• Exercise the full engine rpm range, shifting manually (paddles or gear shift) at higher rpms when possible.
• Do not perform sustained operation with the accelerator pedal at wide open throttle.
• Maintain vehicle speed below 85mph (136km/h) and observe local speed limits.

For the first 1500 mi (2414 km):
• Do not participate in track events, sport driving schools, or similar activities during the
first 1500 mi (2414 km).

Well dealing with a used car dealership would probably be easier than a person. I set the asking price higher than I expect by a bit but still reasonable. That way if someone offers me lower, thinking they might get a deal, I'll probably take it anyway. I'd like to see it gone in the next few weeks!

I did have one text from a local number last night.

0-100 55MPH 3500RPM
101-300 70MPH 5000RPM
301-500 85MPH Full RPM Range
501-1500 - No track events, hard launches etc.

When mine says 501 I'm unleashing the beast right then and there! I'm at 190 miles. Just driving it gently is fun. I can't freaking wait to unleash 707 horsepower.

I hardwired the Passport Max2 radar detector and installed with a blend mount last night. Within the next couple weeks I plan to install my five sensor AntiLaser Priority Jamming System. Tuesday morning I'm installing low dust brake pads along with new wheels and tires. I also plan to have my hood wrapped in black and I'm putting a bumblebee stripe on it, with the Hellcat logo. Then I just have to remove the Dodge badge from the rear and I think I'm set. I ordered my car in October so I've had plenty of time to plan.
BTW, Overland Park Jeep Dodge is the best dealer I've ever worked with.

Quit trying to find sex with a car ad

hometeam 04-19-2015 07:39 AM

Also im a few pages late, but please don't put fake hood pins, fake hood scoops, fake side scoops, or any other 'fake' part on your car that would normally supposed to be functional.

Shit is whack.

If you are going to do something, go all in. Get it done right.
