How's that bad offense of yours holding up?

Not good

They should've won by combined scores of 25-2:D

Will we see regular season Kershaw or postseason Kershaw today?

For my sanity's sake.....it'd better be regular season Kershaw.

I think Toronto is going to take the American league.

National league I say Cubs IF they take care of business in the non MadBum games. If not its easy to see the Giants beating them and then the Nats/Dodgers winner and getting back in the WS. Its what they do.

As much as I hate the JAys and Cubs I think most want to see that matchup in the WS.

Bob Costas said that the Cubs vs Red Sox series would produce the highest tv ratings.

Makes sense. Toronto is a BIG city, but the BJs don't really have a national following by comparison to other large cities of comprable size. Of course (puke), they always want the East Coast team in there.

As much as I'd love to see it be the Indians & Cubs, I think the Jays would be a really tough matchup for the Indians in a 7 game series. They'd need their versions of an unpredictable Ventura (Bauer & Tomlin) to step up, have Klubot and Miller throw in faultless performances, and have their lineup produce against a fantastic Jays rotation.

I see that Playoff Price showed up today.

I've been a Cubs fan Since the early 90's. I'm really hoping this is finally the year we end it. Never been more optimistic than now. Let's do this shit Cubbies.

Last year, NOBODY was taking the Royals against the Jays. The teams left in the playoffs are good enough to all win a series against everyone else. No one has such a dominant lineup this year that they're well insulated from being sent home.

Circumstances and good fortune can quickly neutralize a slightly better team and leave it basically a coin flip in baseball.

Same. Growing up, they were on constantly on WGN, so at a time when you couldn't just watch any and every team as you pleased definitely had an impact. The fact they were an NL team didn't interfere with my 1st love, the Royals. Then to top it off, they played in an amazing environment and their fans also hated the Cardinals and White Sox meant our allegiances were aligned.

For sure, the Indians could definitely do it, but I like a potential matchup against the Rangers more than I do against the Jays.
