It's puzzling. Why risk further injury to one of your brightest stars? Put him on the IR and let the guy heal up properly or whatever. Risking that guy's future seems pretty stupid.

Trade rumors are swirling regarding Lions TE T.J. Hockenson, and while he says he wants to stay in Detroit, he understands why he could be traded.

Now, THAT is interesting. Wonder what it would take. I think KC is good with Gray/Fortson in their roles, but if the team wants to transition full-time to more 12 sets, having a TE who is a receiving threat and a good in-line blocker would be pretty exciting.

Send Rojo to Jacksonville. They just traded away Robinson and they could use another RB to help out Etienne. Add some picks and get Josh Allen in return.

I must say, when you look at the landscape of 2023 free agency, it is not good at all.

If there's ever a time where the Chiefs make a big trade like that in the middle of the season after already making another fairly big trade, it's this year.

Still don't actually see them making a trade for Allen or Burns though.
