How unsurprising to Missouri fans.

Nice win last night. This is a smart efficient team. Fun to watch.

Actual football schools like tOSU and Alabama have been filling their arenas, champ. Of course they don't have shitty fans, so there's that.

It's like you said, the distinction came about on this board after 2008. I agree that football is more popular and matters more, but I'd rather have a winning tradition in basketball than no winning tradition at all.

Anyway, I'm going to stop derailing this thread. This MU teams seems to be super legit during KU's first real down year under Self so it's going to be interesting to see how the conference shapes out in the end.

That is fine. We really don't care about the easy games. Pretty much been saying that the whole time...wait till conference season.

Of course it is easy for all those KC KU'ers to pop right into a game in Allen Fieldhouse it is right down the street. For Missouri fans in STL or KC to make a game in Columbia they have to take off work early. Lets not pretend this doesn't matter.

But then again the only people who give a shit about this kind of stuff is Kansas fans. Lots of people reaching down into the barrel for shit talking these days.

Leave it to Kansas fans to tell us how important we should think our basketball games that we don't care about should be to us. Missouri fans really do focus on football season and when that is over late in the season we are glad to turn our sights on our basketball team. Raping a team like Howard is boring...how could it not be?

Thanks for your interest in SEC and Mizzou Athletics.

Yes, except Illinois, Villanova and Oklahoma are all rated higher than Davidson on those rankings.

You should probably just quit talking and let the smart MU fans take of this.

Eh, it's kind of nice to derail an MU thread for a change. :p

I'm looking forward to both teams playing KSU. I haven't seen KSU at all, so I'm not sure if they deserve their ranking or not, but it'll make for an interesting comparison of the 3 teams after tonight and Saturday's games.

whatever dude. You're a basketball school. Deal with it.

It can be fun when you win, trust.

This K-State team is a riddle to me. We truly don't have a go to player on the team. It's someone different every night. That's interesting, but it's also a scary proposition. When you REALLY need a bucket, I'm not sure who we go to. I think we get our dicks handed to us tonight, but bounce back and beat Mizzou this weekend.

Are you freakin' kidding me? Before the MU/KU game at Arrowhead, the KU football thread was filled with MU fans chirping about how much we were supposed to care about the last game of a lost football season, versus a rival that's leaving the conference.

I get your point about boring BB games, just like boring non-conference football games or whatever... it's hard to dedicated a day and money towards a scrimmage. But, there's no high road "leave it to KU fans" crap... half the shit that's spewed on both sides is lame attendance smack or other crap that doesn't matter.

Not sure how you equate the non con basketball games I was referring to and the MU\KU football game.

This is the one deal I just don't understand. MU is not a football school - never has been until the last 3-5 years.

Yes they are, just ask them.
