If Zimmerman is fixed with his surgery when can we expect his return?

Chiefspants 08-11-2016 09:39 PM

It takes a bold guy to write off the Royals in September 2015. It takes a bolder guy to proclaim you'd probably quit following sports after Ned wrecked the team and the Royals fell 1-2 against the Stros. It takes perhaps the boldest man in the world to double down after a WS win and keep ****posting to Chiefsplanet despite promises to focus on the finer things in life.

Never fear, there's help in the way.

The Royals 2015 first round comp pick (for losing James Shields) has pitched 80 innings in A ball and currently has an ERA of 8.28.

That's still better than resigning James Shields....

Royals' Ashe Russell: Unable to pitch since June 23

Russell, the Royals' 2015 first round pick, has only thrown two total innings in 2016.

Russell was assigned to the Arizona Rookie League and has made just two starts this season, lasting only one inning each time. The team has made no official announcement on why he has not thrown more this year.

He is right on track then. It looks like maybe he is on the step of questioning whether or not he wants to play baseball and taking a break.

Willie Hernandez for Detroit in 1984 for AL. Kershaw threw 198 innings 2 years ago in the NL.

And at the same age, Cuthbert barely posted an OPS over .600, and Bubba Starling looked like a top prospect.

Minor league stats are nice for a quick glance at how a guy is doing but don't tell the whole story.

Is Jason LaCanfora been trolling Royals fans again?

Did he ever stop?

Guy has never gotten over losing to the Royals. Kind of like our friends in Toronto.
