I don't know if it has been posted on the game thread (mainly b/c I did not want to "relive" it but when Perez played tonight he became the 1st player born in the 1990's to play for the Royals. (I know Hos is also 21 but he has not had his BD this year yet).
Now that I've made you feel older... |

Perez gunned down a runner on 3rd tonight on a safety squeeze. Lightning fast release, haven't seen anything like that from a Royal's catcher....ever.

I was watching the game tonight with a buddy and we were discussing whether or not it was too early to buy Perez shirts. Then the conversation progressed to how many current players we would actually wear a shirt of...I counted about 10 or 11 guys on the current roster that I could actually represent without shame. I am so excited about all these young guys who are playing so well already.
I know the team still sucks, but at least they've got some exciting players now. I remember going to a game a few years ago and seeing Tony Pena Jr., Mark Teahen, and John Buck shirts for sale in the team store. Those were the stars of the team. They've come a long way. |

Royals have "officially" signed 5th round pick Patrick Leonard for 600,000. Leonard had committed 2 Georgia. Projects as 3B or OF |

The talent is obvious. Get us some pitching. |
Perez is elite already on defense, no doubt he is on for the long haul. Hope the bat keeps improving

The only thing funnier than the fact that someone like Kyle Davies got arrested for drunk and disorderly is the fact that his first name is Hiram.
