I'm assuming that they've already got something worked out with Franklin. We haven't heard shit about him this entire time.

The Bad Guy 07-29-2011 11:16 AM

I'll say with 95% certainty that something will happen today.

ToxSocks 07-29-2011 11:17 AM

Or just hoping. But KC is the only team that I've seen mentioned w/ anything Franklin involved.

All the Patriots worshiping gets old. That team has literally done nothing but choke the last three seasons. And it's because they've had lousy drafts and terrible free agent signings.

Everyone was "ooh, ahh, Randy Moss," but how many Super Bowls did it win them?

ZERO.

Lol seriously? It took a MIRACLE play for the giants to win that game and you and i both know that the patriots win that game 9/10 times. The patriots had more talent on their team than the giants and you know it.

The ravens and jets playoff games puzzle me
Though.

Based on this description, wouldn't mind the Chiefs targeting Anderson if he'll play for close to the vet minimum.

Quote:

Over time, he evolved from a total bust from a pass rushing perspective to a capable run-stopping end who could play a little defensive tackle. That reinvention ensures he’ll latch on with some other team—and there’s a slim chance he’ll return to the Falcons on a reduced deal.

I might as well log out until then. we won't hear a peep about the Chiefs till then, and the lack of Carr, Hali, Baldwin and Houston are really bringing me down.

I have no patience today.

I remember them in superbowl in '85 too. As a avid chiefs fan I just can't imagine rooting for a team that goes on to become one of the greatest dynasty in history. Lucky bastard.

Yeah, good times for us.

And yes, I've been a fan since the late 70s. I don't remember the Ben Dreith incident, or '78 really, but I do remember Ron Ehrhardt (sp?) and Ron Meyer. 1-15 and 2-14 seasons. Dick MacPherson and Zeke Mowatt and Victor Kiam and Hugh Millen / Chuck Sullivan and hosting the Michael Jackson tour. I remember going to the Super Bowl in '85 after Squishing the Fish only to be blown out by the Bears in the most lopsided SB ever, and then having three key defensive players hurt in the SAME f'n preseason game the next year, guaranteeing that the team would be mediocre.

Kenneth Sims and Irving Fryar's finger. Orthwein and the move to St. Louis, and Kraft saving the team. Parcells' trying to get the HC of the NYJ (as BB would say) job BEFORE THE F'N SUPERBOWL with the Packers. Parcells stealing Curtis Martin.

Sam Bam and Mosi's Mooses. Nelson and Tippett and Hannah and Don Hasselback (father of Matt), and Hayes and Haynes. Grogs and brokedick Tony Eason.

Sitting on frozen crappy aluminum benches in December.

Yeah, I've been through it all for 30 years.

These are good times. They won't last forever. The 80s Celtics taught me that. Enjoy them while they last. It's just so freaking great to KNOW that your HC/front office knows WTF they are doing.

I want to say 9/10, but don't want to sound like I'm overdoing it.

I also want to say that if the 2001 Rams/Pats play 10 times, the Rams take 8 of those games. So we were on both the good and the bad side of miracle upsets. I can't be too pissed off. Losing the perfect season REALLY sucks though.

The Ravens game result didn't shock me, but the WAY we lost did. Being completely blown off the field was a big surprise.

Jets last year did surprise me.

Except for Patriots fans. Though as soon as Pioli got hired in KC I read The Blueprint: How the New England Patriots Beat the System to Create the Last Great NFL Superpower. It's a great read and will piss you off as a fan of another team.

Read Patriot Reign if you have time.
