Sad thing is that this isn't a slump. It's what he does. White hot for about 6 weeks then straight up dinks and dunks for the most part (like his little "booty-knock" turd last night). Rinse and repeat each season.

When's the last time he pulled a HR, hit the RCF gap for a double, or laced a line drive down the RF line?

I can't remember whether it was on 610 or 810 earlier this week, but it was either Ned or Dayton that said Sveum does not really say anything to any of our established players unless they come to him for advice. He went on to say that Sveum has a lot of tips/ideas for some of them, but that he's not to give unsolicited advice. He also made it a point of mentioning that Orlando and Cuthbert have spent a ton of time working with Sveum throughout the season. I'm pretty sure it was Dayton making those comments, but I'll see if I can find the interview.

Do you realize if the Royals had just played .500 ball in July where they'd be?

Don't kid yourself. It would not matter, because the July Royals are who they are. Maybe not to that degree, but this team from start until now has not been very good. Plain and simple.

Lol, we have 0.3% playoff odds right now. Do you really expect this team to be 7 games better than Boston and Baltimore the last 50? If they were .500 we'd have to go 32-18. (And that assumes the others in front of us don't get hot)

Do I expect it? No.

But I'm also not 100% ready to write them off until I see what happens over the next 10 games.

Don't expect it, but wouldn't be surprised if they managed to find a way.

Looking at the radar, it looks like things should clear up just before 7:30. Looks like there's going to be chances of rain throughout the night, so it'll be interesting to see what they decide.

Probably. I think we have a pretty uneventful off season . The team should look similar except for Moose being back and likely Morales gone. I would like to try to get Holland back to beef up the bullpen.
