I think you don't see it more from MU fans than KU fans, but instead of you are taking your sports fandom out of the proper sphere and projecting your rivalry onto the regular people cheering for your rival. No, people don't become reeruned when they walk across the Missouri/Kansas border. I live within walking distance of the state line, and I attend a church with both Missourians and Kansans. You would never know the difference.

Look, I'd say most of my friends are actually Missouri fans. Just like when anybody in the NFL talks about Oakland fans and their general characteristics. I wouldn't say Missouri is that bad - but ever since Mizzou has fielded a decent football team it's been getting worse and worse.
