I'm bitching about one thing, and one thing only: talent evaluation. There is no ****ing way that a sane person would think that LJ was the best back for this team, and the results of the entire season bear that out completely. And yet, these same people, who missed so horribly on evaluating our RBs, who call plays like the Castille pass, who give Matt Cassel $63 million before he has taken a snap for us are also the ones who are in charge of rebuilding this team from the ash heap.

Being happy with the results of yesterday (and I am) does not mean that you can't also look forward to the future. That's the entire point of a rebuild. I honestly can't believe that you cannot comprehend this.

But you can't even wait a week after the game to start this shit. that's the point. Why not just STFU about it now, let everyone enjoy the win instead of bitching? Why? Because you have such a hard on for Haley and Pioli. So no matter what happens, the first thing you do is look for SOMETHING to bitch about.

I get that you're saying that we put Charles behind Larry, but I've explained that already. LJ was a former 2 time pro bowl back making a lot of money. He's going to be given every chance. This is NOT unusual in the NFL, on ANY team. Period. So saying that the staff has terrible evaluation skills based on that alone is horseshit. So is the Cassel thing. The guy played outstanding in New England last year. This year he was in a new system, new players, a rotating WR corps who couldn't catch, a bad line, and for most of the season no running game. But I don't see you giving the guy the benefit of the doubt based on that. Nope. So you really don't have any "fair" "unbiased" analysis of all of this at all.

When a team is as bereft as we are, you always need to have your eye towards the future. If we were in a Vermeil-esque, win now mode, I can see the point in putting blinders on, but we've got 11 picks in the draft and a free agency period coming up.

How do the moves of this regime, especially in light of what happened yesterday, inspire any confidence in the future?
I can name a few...............

Last year this team quit with a few games left to go in the season. I never saw this team quit. We walked into Denver yesterday like OUR playoff lives were on the line. Regardless of what you think, that is a CHANGE in attitude, and a big one. And the only way that happens is if a coach wins the players over. So regardless of what you or Mecca or any complainer here thinks of Haley, the guys are playing hard for him. And my guy on the roster says so too, so that outweighs anything you or anyone else here has to say about it anyway.

They eventually got the O-line thing worked out. Even if it took a few injuries, they got it worked out. Again, vets generally get the benefit of the doubt over rookies. I'm not even saying it's right, I'm saying it is what it is. You better look like some kind of all world bad ass if you are going to unseat a 8,9,10 year vet who has been starting most all of that time.

This team never quit, and to me that means the attitude of the team changed from last year in a positive way. I think the double amount of wins reflects that too. Haley could have won more than 4 easily with the dropped passes cut in half. Did he make some mistakes? Sure thing. But so did ****ing Bill Belichik and he's won 3 super bowls.

the point is, I've seen good and bad stuff but since both Pioli and Haley are new here, I am going to give them a chance to sink or swim before I start finding every little thing to bitch about. Esp when we just won in Denver for the first time in 9 years. Or I'll at least wait a ****ing week.

Are you kidding?

I guessed Hali would have 10 sacks, he had 8.5...I guessed Larry would have 85 yards that game...I think he had around that many...I said Jared Allen could be just as good as DeMarcus Ware in a 3-4...and I still think that...

You're a ****ing moron man...plain and simple. Another know-it-all with an anti-Chiefs agenda that doesn't really know shit...

So, 8.5 is 10?

What the **** do they teach you ****ing kids at ISU?

Does Vegas pay out when you come close?

Did I hurt your feelings?

You have no problem dishing it out, usually invented in your own head, but you sure don't have the balls to take it.

I'll take it when I deserve it...

In all honesty...I haven't deserved it one bit this year...as just about everything I've said has been spot on...

Where are the Carson Palmer ballwashers now????

Have they finally figured out how overrated he is or is it going to take a 1st round loss in the playoffs to the 12th best team in the AFC?

Kyle Orton > Carson Palmer...

Or how about this...

The Bengals win 10 games with Kyle Orton at QB...that's all Carson Palmer was this year...a Kyle Orton QB for that team.

The Cowboys win 6 games, tops, with Carson Palmer as their QB...that's how much more important Tony Romo was to his team as opposed to Carson Palmer.

Dirk claims that Herm buried Charles as well, and that's flat-out bullshit.

Show me a 3rd round rookie that beats out a veteran back his rookie year - much less one that had back to back 1700 yard seasons ending just one year prior.

So essentially, LJ and the OL got the chance at the beginning of the season because they are established vets.

And Haley and Pioli were brought in to what?

Change the diapers?
Change the tampons?
Change the culture?

What change does that evoke?

Really? That's what I didn't "knock out of the park"?

That I said I bet he ends up with 10 sacks and he only gets 8.5?

Oh darn...I'm such a moron.

ROFL

Coming from the guy who took a shit all over the gamethread yesterday...waiting for Cassel to make more mistakes so you could go on more rants against Haley/Pioli...coming from the guy who is now taking a story ONLY produced by Nick Athan and treating it as if it's gospel because earlier this season everyone but Cassel and Flowers were on the block...

That's why I like the Talking Can. We used to go back and forth like no one's business back during the Green/Huard debacle...but he truly calls them how he sees them instead of having hatred cloud up every ounce of his judgment...

I went from thinking he was a total asshole dipshit to at least respecting the hell out of his posts because I can tell he calls them exactly how he sees them without any sort of agenda or bias towards wanting a pat on the back for being right...

Kinda like you and Hamas for all those "MOTHER **** YOU SCOTT PIOLI!" threads...

So, no facts, just guessing.

And when did the league let the 12th best team play in the playoffs?

I could have swore it was top 6 in each conference, based on record.

Damn, the facts get in the way, again.

Kolby was suppose to replace LJ when he got off PUP
Kolby went down again and Jamaal was born

For all of those awesome last minute drives (3 or 4 of them, those are definitely his defining moments, I agree)...it took those 3 horrible to mediocre quarters of QB play to force such drives in the first place...

I'm sorry...3 quarters of mediocre QB play (at best) where your offensive line/running game and defense keeps you in games doesn't tell me anything more than how much you play the QB position like Kyle Orton...

Palmer is nothing more than a game manager...he's NOT a franchise QB...even if he did go #1 overall once upon a time.

TTC as your idol explains everything.

That guy is the biggest phony on the ****ing board.

He was Hamas before Hamas was Hamas - berating people that didn't want a QB, posting a true fan manifesto, going on a ****ing rampage.

Pioli was hired, and everything changed.

Give me a ****ing break.

Oh I challenge you to find that quote.

I was one of his biggest supporters...I said he reminded me of Tony Romo...

I went so far as to say I'd rather have Tyler Thigpen as opposed to Carson Palmer...but that's mainly because I wanted to point out how overrated Carson Palmer was...

I still think with a little seasoning Thigpen could have ended up like Romo.

However, considering the other evidence, and the fact that we've seen first hand that the so-called Executive of the Decade has made some dumb ****ing decisions thus far, I don't see it being out of the realm of possibility.

That's it.

This entire discussion has much more to do with Nick "Assclown" Athan than it does with the actual topic.

There is nothing that Athan will ever say that I will consider to be a possibility.

I like you a lot on this board, but you putting "exectutive of the decade" in every post referencing Pioli reminds me of Reerun's Herm hatred.
