I think the best chance for the Chiefs to get him would be to trade for him before he can opt to walk on the open market. If he walks after the '11 season then yes there will be much better teams after his services that the Chiefs would need to compete with.
And the Patriots are not afraid to throw money around, just because the MO of the Patriots Way is to buy low and sell high, doesn't mean they havent given 30 year old guys like Corey Dillion and Adalius Thomas 30 million contracts without thinking twice. The Pats have done it, they just dont do it often thats all. |
