I must be missing something. I know I'm not as informed as you guys when it comes to every team and every player past, present, or future in this world or the next ...

But what has Orton ever done in his career that warrants his ability to pick and choose which team he should play for?

Here is the thing. I think Haley is gone. I think that Pioli will look for someone that can fix the offense while retaining Cassel. I don't think Pioli believes Cassel is a 'great' QB, but I do think he believes that Cassel is the best QB option for next year.

McDaniels has a history with Cassel and has had a ton of success on the offensive side of the ball.

I could easily see Pioli tabbing him as the next HC for the Chiefs.

And, admittedly, IF the Chiefs are locked into Cassel, then I am fine with McDaniels because I believe he gives Cassel the best chance to be successful.

And, if we all agree that QB performance is one of the biggest keys to success, it extrapolates out to: McDaniels gives the Chiefs the best chance to be successful if Cassel is definitely the QB.

I would rather see a proven guy like Fisher or Cowher here. I just don't think it happens.

This post has like 15 unique and interesting flavors of FAIL.

Cassel has shown he can't calmly go through his progressions. If Pioli doubles down on Cassel, then there's no hope for the guy.

Okay, I have done a search, and you think McDaniels will be the next coach.

I admit, I am very curious as to what you are attributing McDaniels dislike for Orton.

Not even disagreeing with it.... just don't know about it and have looked for any indications of it on Google and see none.

So, just let me know why you think McDaniels does not like Orton.

Thanks.

It's called cynical humor. I'm not actually serious (well, not completely).

Each of the last 2 seasons Orton threw for at least 3600 yards and 20 touchdowns. And he just turned 29 so he's got a few years in him still. He's definitely a serviceable QB.

When you've had no action between the sheets for a long time, even the average chick starts to look good.

Palko is better at going through progressions than Casserole, just about every QB in the league is better at it. Once Cassel's panic button gets tickled he's Mr. Happy Feet and looks at two receivers at most...

Well stop it. I take everything on here very seriously.

Heck, I even paid an arborist to make sure that I didn't have any aids trees in my yard.

Explain to me how Haley is better than Herm?

He's white and says the right things and acts tough.

Herm is an easy guy to hate if things go wrong. He says dumb things and generally acts like a circus clown at press conferences. People also hated him from day one and losses only validated that hate.

Haley is the opposite. People have been sucking his cock since day one because he wasn't Herm. He presents this bullshit blue-collar persona that people fall in love with and think they can relate to, which is laughable considering his watch probably cost more than their car.

He rarely looks at 2 receivers. He looks at his first receiver and then at the pass rush before turning "OCD in a dirty kitchen".

Per Rotoworld

The Chiefs are considering submitting a waiver claim on Kyle Orton, a source tells NFL.com's Steve Wyche.
Although the Chiefs are only two games out of first place in the AFC West, they aren't realistic threats to win the division. But if they stick with Tyler Palko at quarterback, they might not win another game all year. The addition of Orton would be a major boost to Dwayne Bowe and the entire passing game. The Chiefs are ahead of the Bears and behind the Colts in the waiver process.

Of course.......Orton would help keep "butts in seats"

But he doesnt have to come play for KC if he doesnt want to.

Exactly. Personally, I think they are both average to crap.
