His determination to not go down the same road he went down in Cleveland tells me he's going to make the changes we need made. Both RAC and Scott Pioli know their jobs are on the line now.

I agree. If you look back at the presser when Haley got canned, you can tell that Pioli had been in a come to Jesus meeting with Clark right before. Even Pioli's ego isn't big enough to get another GM's job if he bombs here.
Realistically, there is only 1 solid 1st round QB in the draft pool now, and that's Luck. RG3 hasn't declared. You can rant all you want about a 1st round QB, but if the talent isn't there, why reach for someone in the 1st? You can sign a FA, but what's out there? Not much. So now you've got to make a decision between Cassel and Orton. For all we know Pioli and Orton's agent are at Applebee's enjoying a 2 for $20 right now.

Well, I haven't been shy about voicing my concerns about Romeo.

Here's where I still stand. Like the hire better than if it was Jeff fisher. Not convinced they did enough due diligence outside the tree. Considering the experienced assistants on the market, I realize we don't have much to choose from.

Romeo is a phenomenal coach. I just hope that means he can become a good head coach too. I think he will need to really change his personality which is easier said than done. At the very least, I am confident our defense will be very good. And I trust that he will pick the best oc on the market and give that guy full autonomy. Still, my biggest fear is that this team plays great football next year but slowly fizzles after that. Unless Romeo can learn to be more disciplinary.

My daughter and I do. It's the neighborhood bar and grill man.

He's gonna do worse than Haley I bet. Stupid choice.

Somehow I doubt that.

Yeah, I doubt he does worse. 19 wins in 3 years?

Problem is, he probably won't do significantly better.

And the biggest problem is that the 8 wins he'll get a year will be just enough to save his and/or Pioli's job down the road.

Did you observe Crennel in Cleveland? It gets worse than Haley.

Romeo also knows this is his last HC job. Can't imagine he is going to let his career ride on Cassel's arm if he has any other option.

It depends on a few decisions. If Pioli grew a set and got a decent OC and QB in here I think we would be fine.

Not gonna happen. In two years we'll have another house cleaning.

I tend to agree. I just think this problems will be on the QB side not Crennel.
