The Baltimore Ravens have glaring holes but the draft isn't about fixing 1 year needs its about picks helping the franchise long term.

I'm going to go ahead and roll the dice with this pick. If he can comeback there's no reason he won't be one of the best running backs in the league.

Baltimore selects Marcus Lattimore Running back South Carolina

Can someone PM dj's for me?

BossChief 03-24-2013 09:03 PM

I literally flipped a coin to pick Wilson or Lattimore. With Atlanta signing Steven Jackson, Lattimore could have been brought along slowly.

BossChief 03-24-2013 09:05 PM

I PMd dj

There's an OT prospect still on the board that I really think is undervalued and a nice bet to become a decent LT in the future.

That said, the Texans have Duane Brown so the need for a LT is pretty nominal. However, they could really use a RT and the guy I'm talking about doesn't have the attributes I'd want in my RTs.

However, there is one guy that does have attributes to make him a great RT while still having the potential to be a LT. He made 2nd team All-SEC as a red shirt Sophomore and if he'd have been healthy all season, he'd have been among the highest regarded tackles in the draft.

The Houston Texans take - Chris Faulk - OT, LSU.

This kid has 1st round ability. Really, I'm surprised he didn't return for his senior year.

Dammit DJ! I shouldn't have stated my sleepers in the other thread.

The Texans will not have a better draft in real life than this one.

I like my Chargers draft, but I'm still not sure I did the right thing taking Michael Buchanan over Jamie Collins (who I really really liked). My Texans draft, OTOH, I just freakin' love.

I had a list of six or seven players that I was fairly confident would be around when the Chiefs picked next. Barrett Jones was the one at the top and also the one I figured to be most unlikely to drop to the next pick.

None of them are available. You fish-****ing assholes.

I don't see any picks that sizzle with value or awesome potential. Well, there's potential, but not the kind you should be taking as high as the bottom of the 3rd. Those will come later.

Oh well. Consider this my "gotta do what ya gotta do" pick.

The Chiefs select Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama

Mother**** you in the ****ing neck, Dorsey and Reid. You brainless pieces of mother****ing garbage.

If we had our 2nd round pick, the Chiefs could have a draft like this:

1. Geno Smith
2. Datone Jones
3. Barrett Jones
3. Nico Johnson

All four of this team's biggest needs after free agency get addressed with some of this draft's top potential NFL starters at each position. Some of them are 2nd and 3rd choices, but you can't ****ing tell me this isn't a home run of a draft for a new beginning to this team.

As such, we don't have a 2nd round pick, and very likely our QB (the most important part of it all) is going bye bye for Alex ****ing Smith. More than likely, you're going to see something like this instead:

1. Luke Joeckel
3. Farty Henderson
3. Crusty Shitsack

Nico's a nice player.

Tennessee needs depth at cornerback and there is a high-risk, high-reward candidate sitting right there for them with playmaking skills at PR/KR.

The Tennessee Titans select Tyrann Mathieu, CB, LSU.

There's a pick there that I'd have loved for the Chiefs that's still available. I like him a lot for the Chargers so I'm not going to give him away yet, but I don't really expect him to fall (I see him in Carolina, truth be told). I'm still not going to give him up just yet..

I considered him for the Eagles coming up. Left him off my list I sent to you, but an excellent choice. I'm actually going to be around today. Said **** it and am taking a 3 day weekend. Disregard that list I sent you. I'm having some 2nd thoughts and shaking it up some.

How about some pass rush help, so they can possibly maintain a lead?

I see better fits in free agency. As the GM, I've already reached out to Dwight Freeney and Richard Seymour as well as 2-3 other guys...we are also hopeful to get John back at a more reasonable amour and remain optimistic with our chances of that happening.
