As a math nerd, I would take McCormack out and put in Coleman-Lands. Go 5-out. You need some luck and to make 3s and shots if you expect to outscore a good team by 16 points in a half. So many coaches refuse to accept this reality though. Either lose by 30, or maybe make it close.

Other than Agbaji, McCormack is literally the only guy on the floor not freaking out right now. Doubt that will end well.

Not sure I agree. He doesn’t have to create shots. He’s passing on shots that were right there for him. Even if it means an extra dribble. That’s not enough to close this big of a gap but it’s hard to accept a high fg % on too few selective shots when the rest of the team is flailing on looks that are way less open.

Agbaji is not a volume shooter or a guy who hits contested shots. He's a spot shooter who excels coming off screens on catch-and-shoots. Doing what you are suggesting has never been his role on KU in his 4 years with the team.
