I'm talking about actual intelligence. Go read any Geno fap article if you want to see how his actual intelligence seeps into his leadership qualities as a quarterback. The way MahiMike was talking, it's like he thought Geno Smith was as dumb as Vince Young. |
Would you ever go to a youth chess tournament and say, "I question the intelligence of these kids"?
Didn't think so. |

I saw the Texas Tech tape. Did YOU watch it? Because that's not what Geno ****ing did. More often than not he chucked it short because this downfield guys weren't open. The bad part is neither were his short routes. My question for that is where the **** is he supposed to throw it if the defense has all of the routes figured out? It's not like Geno is one read and go like Cassel. He's got all his guys in his field of vision. That's how the air raid offense works. If he were in a pro style set, then yes, I would expect him to keep his head on a swivel after he takes the drop. But he doesn't need to. |

Here's a link to yesterday's admission. It's #2145...
http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...nt#post9042584 SNR, my point isn't about whether or not Stanzi sucks or Geno sucks. It's about saying "I love you" on the first date. Just call the **** down and quit thinking with your dick. LOL |

The Twleve Steps of Planet Recovery:
1) Came to admit we were powerless over dumbassery 2) Came to believe that a franchise QB greater than our dumbassery could restore us to sanity 3) Turned our will and our lives over to a competent GM and franchise QB 4) Made a list of all the true fan dumbassery we had committed. etc. |
Quote:
I say "I love you" on the first date because I heavily researched my opinions and arrived at those particular conclusions. I understand that Geno Smith has been playing great college football for two years prior to this one. I see things from Stanzi's rookie year that jump out to me as very positive traits. I take those premises and I form conclusions, and that's what enables me to make predictions and have fun talking football on the internet. Life would be pretty ****ing boring if nobody on here ever made an intriguing yet bold claim, wouldn't it? And yes, your claims are bold, but they're not intriguing. They're stupid and faulty. |

If Geno Smith has the physical skills and the intangibles you want pull the trigger. If you aren't sure about the intangibles because either he hasn't had to face to much adversity in college, Cam, or not sure if he is a product of the system/talent around him, you still pull the trigger.
If you are wrong then look again, but Geno has crazy deep ball accuracy, his team has no ground game or defense and West Virginia's version of the air raid doesn't do much to help against press defenses, last season Cincinnati, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh did it and slowed the offense down. Physically he has it and isn't a product of the rest of the team. IMO he should be the first off the board |

I'm gonna work hard, I'm gonna work tremendously hard and I'm a leader on this team in which I'm a captain.

You guys are clueless. Matt Cassel is a horrible leader. That's the point. We are lacking leadership on all three phases of the game. Do you see Cam Newton's name on three topics on the front page of the Lounge today? Laugh it up now guys. Because if we are in the situation Carolina is in - in 2014, you won't be laughing.

Shaub or Flacco ain't going anywhere. No chance. You'll get no above average QB play in FA.
You might be able to get a Hasselbeck type, you know, wily old vet on his last go round. I'm down with that ONLY if you're also drafting a QB#1. The old guy can help coach up the youngster if he's a good team guy. I don't know if it'll be Geno or Barkley, I see pros and cons with either. I'll rejoice either way. |

You guys are right. We have got to get a quarterback that can't read a basic zone and shits his pants with any kind of pressure. Sounds great

The remainder of the first round options are demonstrating far more question mars than Geno, imo. Look at Barkley. He gave that game away in the first quarter today against arizona. Look at Wilson: His team is struggling to remain relevant in the SEC. Look at Landry: He is cassel with a stronger arm (albeit with more upside than cassel.)
Bray demonstrates more character red flags than any QB prospect ever seen. Fact is: Geno is still the number one prospect. |
On a serious note...
I was thinking that we take Geno with our first pick, the first pick, as Barkley has the mobility of a dumptruck with two flat tires, Jones just ****ing sucks, Manuel underthrew everyone all day, Murray is a train wreck, and no one is spending a first on Glennon or Nassib (though, after this weekend, Nassib is deserving) and...here it is... trade Dorsey and either Bowe or Albert (Bowe before Albert as Pioli can't seem to draft a ****ing tackle for shit and Albert is basically grandfathered into this team) for a move up into the first again and draft Manti T'eo. Holy shit that kid can play football and he sets an example on and off the field. Geno and Manti. I will settle for nothing less. Not one ****ing iota less than those two guys. I'm sick and tired of slacking pieces of shit or talentless dog turds. Geno and Manti. Period. Done. Do it right ****ing now Clark. And I'm totally serious. |
I like Geno and McDonald for our first two picks.
TJ would allow Berry to move to free and that would round out a damn good secondary. Manta is gonna go top ten, I'd bet on that. |

I still want Austin. Yeah, he's undersized, but the guy is crazy fast and already has a connection with Smith. He'd be a threat from the slot unlike anything we've had, a legit 4.3 guy who can break it at any time. And it would mark an end to the slow motion return game we've had with Arenas and McCluster. I just imagine what it would be like with Bowe (tagged again) and Baldwin on the outside (or just Baldwin...), and Austin on the inside. If there would be any way to grab him in the early 2nd I'd be all over that, maybe even trade back up into the late first. Hell, I'd take him even if we don't draft Geno.

Holy shit. Two spectactular receivers in Austin Hill (****ing guy has grips of steel...literally...just absolutely tore balls out of the air and into his hands like vice grips) and Marqise Lee. Those two are completely legit next level guys. |
