My point was not counting the core guys. Of course we have trade bait there. But my post was in assumption that Moore will ride those guys through their contracts (which expire after 17) while trying to keep as many as possible. I think we'll get to lock up one, best case two.

I think they'll stand pat now especially with Moose being out for the year, then fill the holes in the offseason to make a run in 17 (which goes along with what I said about having no trade bait, because nobody is giving anything up for our prospects without a Mondesi).

They don't have a plethora of pieces to go make a flashy deal, but they have more than enough to add a solid starter, which is what the team needs most. Add one solid guy to join Ventrua, Duffy, Kennedy, and Medlen, and see what happens.
