This may be one of the most frustrating wins I can remember, but it's still a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Foles had basically NONE of his weapons!!!! |

Smith would have completed 65-70% of his passes and would have had at least 2 TDs that game. I mean shit, we didn't even have one real drive all game, that's pathetic. |

I will say that the touch Foles displayed on that TD pass to Wilson was excellent.
|
Jaguars must be snake bit. That's the only explanation for this travesty of a game.

Even if that was a TD by Ivory, the Chiefs should have had 1st and goal at the 1 from the no call PI on Kelce. It's a wash.

The best thing about tomorrow is getting to hear the local radio talk show hosts and all ten of the Jags fans calling in and bitching.
|
One thing is for sure... this game really put the Foles/Smith argument to bed LMAO

How would Smith have done with no Ware, Kelce or Maclin? And don't go quoting that Patriots game. We lost that game. |

That's just not going to cut it later in the season.

No Alex Smith scapegoat available
Andy Reid was the problem today just like he has been the entire time he's been here. playcalling clock management general poor preparation and motivation |

Nick Foles ladies & gentlemen! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Smith suits Reid's offensive philosophy perfectly.
Foles doesn't. |
Great to get another win. Woot.
Sent from my phone using Tapatalk (so spelling be damned!!!) |
KC offense had 10 first downs... the whole game... and a WIN!!!! lol

The pass I'll give Foles is the pass to Kelce to start the game. Other than that one pass, Alex could have made every other pass he made and would have been more efficient and would have noticed the checkdowns.

but whatever, he has never given a shit about reality ... too busy bitching like a toddler |

It's funny. I'm not saying that Foles played great.....because he didn't. But Smith fluffers don't get to use excuses for Smith and then rag on Foles for the same bullshit.

Bray doesn't fit either, not sure why we are wasting our time with him either. Best we can hope for is to develop and trade him. |

Anything there that's an excuse? |
Everyone is taking hard and fast sides, the truth is somewhere in the middle IMO
Cant we just be thankful for the win? Foles fans can take solace that he did some nice things and led us to a win Smith fans can take heart because he'll be back next week |

You mean receivers are responsible for completed passes as well? When did this start because it certainly didn't apply to any of the dropped Smith's passes. |

That one guy made no effort to catch a ball that was completely catchable. Glad Chiefs won. I'm not sold on Foles but he is a backup for a reason did just good enough with excuses that he was missing several starters on offense but I think he could have done better and we wouldn't have given the Jags an opportunity to win. |

Longest drive: 38 yards 1-14 on 3rd down That's BAD |

He wasn't by any metric. Held on to the ball too long and took the 13 yard sack. Stupid throw almost picked by the safety playing CF. Blind to the underneath. No ability to scramble. No increase in scoring. Terrible footwork. Lower completion percentage. 1, I repeat ONE 3rd down conversion. But his 1st pass to Kelce was sweet. The trade offs aren't even close to taking Foles over Smith |

1. Brady 2. Wilson 3. Smith :hmmm: |
KC's run defense is an abortion. That shit needs fixed ASAP
|
Every week I like something more out of Kelce this week he made an ass out of a referee that was great. He is becoming an all time favorite of mine.

It's not like Foles had a plethora of playmakers at his beck and call. Losing Maclin early was huge. And then Kelce removed himself from the game later. Plus, Mssrs Ware and Charles were nowhere to be found. So, Foles was dealt a weak hand in that regard.
Not suggesting that Foles had a good game, because he didn't. Nonetheless, he was definitely limited by his offensive support. Pretty clear too that this avoided the dreaded "QB Controversy" that was brewing. So, we got a win, avoided a controversy, added to Foles game day experience in this system. All in all, and ugly but somewhat productive day. PS. This team is physically beat up. Let's hope Smith and Ware are back next week and that Maclin's injury isn't a multi-week affair. |
With Foles, I'm going to echo what Virus said earlier... there needs to be a happy medium
He was going for broke the entire first half, and was lucky to have not been picked on at least one occasion... Reid settled him down in the second half and he started looking for the medium throws and checkdowns, but still... no QB can run an effective offense constantly going deep |
Longest pass today: 24 yards. It was a screen pass.
DEEP BALLS! |
When he only wants to throw to guys running a Go route, Hill was the only playmaker he needed.
