I'm quietly praying we trade him for a late round pick. I would be infinitely impressed if it happened (it won't).

Not worth the draft position but we always knew that, he is what he is a 3-4 DE.

He's right

This is great news. Not because he's great or anything but it may keep us from going DL with the first pick

Sassy Squatch 03-05-2013 04:47 PM

Maybe with the new scheme he will finally turn.. ah **** it.

CoMoChief 03-05-2013 04:47 PM

**** it.....stick him at NT and see what he can do.

HotCarl 03-05-2013 04:47 PM

He's just an average starter. I have no problem whatever with him remaining as a placeholder this year.

Who knows, maybe the new staff will have a positive effect and he will realize some potential?

Yep.

As far as I can tell, the chiefs are making sure there are no needs that dictate the draft.

Hoover 03-05-2013 04:48 PM

I'm really starting to think we are going DLine at 1.1 in the draft.

Smart to keep Jackson for another year, not having him would mean two huge holes in the DL despite all we have invested.

mnchiefsguy 03-05-2013 04:48 PM

My reaction is kind of meh. As long as his cap hit goes from 14 mill down to 3-4 million, I am okay with it. If it is is any higher than 4 mill, then they probably should have just cut him loose.

BlackHelicopters 03-05-2013 04:48 PM

Better be a bargain basement price.
