Dixon didn't rape this girl (and I can't speak to the first one). He banged her for 20 minutes but only after he stopped, laid her over and put a condom on. Oh, and he changed positions halfway through and did her doggystyle. Oh yeah, and after that was done, she jerked him off until he finished (but only after he tried to get a beej and she said no). Then she sent him a text apologizing for throwing him out 2 minutes after he left her room and tried several times to communicate with him afterward. She didn't call it a sexual assault until she started talking with her sisters about it and got all in a twist. Look - Dixon's an asshole. He's a pushy shithead and something of a creep that developed a reputation for just being nasty with women even before this thing. As I said in the other thread - playing D1 basketball is a privilege and he's done plenty to have that privilege called into doubt. But let's be a little careful about throwing 'rape' around. That's a pretty loaded term and it doesn't apply here, IMO. This is a girl that gave in to a persistent creep and regretted it shortly thereafter. |

I'm sure you actually read the police report by now so you know better. This isn't the first woman to allege rape by Dixon, either. The first one was too scared to do anything because she was afraid of the treatment the latest victim is experiencing. |

It wasn't rape, sport. By her own words it wasn't rape. The prosecutors put a great deal of time into investigating it and in the end her very own testimony made it very clear what happened that night and the people responsible for drawing the line between rape and being a pushy shithead made determined that it was not rape. This isn't a case of he said/she said. This ends at 'she said'. What she said, if given 100% veracity, is simply not rape. |
Dear God. Woman gets assaulted, gets treated like crap for being assaulted. Has it ever occurred to some people that most women are telling the truth when they report this? Some people make me sick. I know this is a world of innocent until proven guilty but come on. This is common sense and decency we're talking about. What ever happened to compassion? Geez.

There's about 60 pages of police investigation that you can easily access if you'd like, I recommend strongly that you look it up. I don't think she lied in her statements at all. I don't think she intended to sleep with him. Then again, she makes it clear in her own statements that he wasn't forcing her down. He got off her, put a condom on and started again. He asked her to change positions and she voluntarily did so. She said she never felt physically threatened and when all was said and done she gave the dude a handjob before he left. When asked why she engaged in various acts it wasn't because of force or intimidation, it was "I don't know". Then she sent him texts saying she didn't want to just be another girl that got used for sex and tried to establish a relationship with him. Give me a damn break here. This is a girl that got talked into having sex by a slime. That's not rape. |

By her followup report, she does add additional details that clearly paint a worse picture. At the same time, they're odd. Does a rapist stop halfway through, put on a condom and lay on the bed while his victim looks for her pants? And look at Dixon's reaction when she laid into him - "WTF? This is crazy" Then she jerks him off and keeps texting him and trying to be friends with him. Oh, and when talking with him says "what kind of person has sex with someone...." And the rape kit didn't show anything arising from this one either. I know your side of the argument is always the easy one, but there are two clear sides to this story. I haven't spoken to the 2010 incident as I haven't looked into it. I'm not inclined to engage in guess work. |

It also has nothing to do with the 2012 allegations. In fact, the medical kits turned up no evidence of assault this time around. But the pitchforks crowd doesn't really care. They're essentially going to lump this all into one event and that's just not the case. I haven't even attempted to speak to the 2010 incident. I've spoken only to the 2012 event and based on the evidence presented related to that incident, this just was not rape. |

^ 2010 Police report. I am with you on the 2012 case, but the 2010 case is pretty disgusting. He should have been kicked off the team at that point. |
I don't believe he raped this girl, but you definitely don't have to have much of an imagination to see the start of a pattern here. I'd say the University probably made the right move.
None of it really makes sense to me though... A one legged man on a skateboard could get laid in Columbia. He's a god damn idiot for not just moving on to the nearest dorm or making a call to the nearest house and slinging stick in some other hole. |
