Yeah, his life expectancy is short if he doesn't learn quick how to fall down...

I wouldn't want to be in Shanahan's shoes today.....Dan Snyder is one unhappy and very pissed off owner

Mike Shanahan has pulled this garbage before with Terrell Davis and Al Wilson. I hope he gets fined by the league.

Sorter 01-09-2013 02:54 PM

Did Stevie Johnson sign with the Seahawks for this game?

Dylan 01-09-2013 04:21 PM

According to reports, Shanahan started the 2012 season with his job on the line.

When Griffin injured his knee on Dec 9th, it was reported the recovery could take 4-6 weeks. Griffin was back after missing one week.

Everyone knows running quarterbacks are a disaster waiting to happen. There's a reason that NFL running backs usually have a short career.

As for pulling RG3 from the game, everyone watching that game could tell how ineffective he was, and that not only was he putting his health at risk but the Skins probably had a better chance of winning with the backup at that point.

What's really funny is that when Cutler pulled himself from a game, everyone jumped on the guy and called him a pussy. But this incident makes it clear that, if you can't play, you shouldn't play.

What if:

Cousins isn't that good, and the Skins know this, but they think they can deal him for a first rounder in the offseason. However, they don't want to play him because they know he will be exposed.

Don't love what I think is going to be an injury riddled, short career.

He takes a lot of hits.

The field was at fault, not RGIII or a specific hit.

Chris Clemons of the Seahawks tore an ACL during the same game.

For all of Goodell's blabbering about safety, field maintenance should be priority #1.

Seriously?

they were thinking about firing the guy after using three first round picks on the qb that fits what he wants to do to a t?

It looked like a disaster on TV.

Fieldturf next season.

This could end up being a blessing in disguise, it might end up forcing him to completely focus on being a pocket passer and stop risking himself like that.

All of that running around needed to come to a stop at some point, why not just get it out of the way now.

You just cant slam your most precious commodity around like a running back.

Sorter 01-09-2013 07:12 PM

Snyder after getting the medical report.

Yeah, the commentators literally said, before the game, that if it weren't for the green paint, you wouldn't even know it was a football field. They said it was straight up dirt.; players were slipping around everywhere during pregame warmups.
