I hate the term "value pick".

Covitz is employed. Think about that for a moment.

Charles was a third-round pick by the Chiefs in 2008. Crap, he's no spring chicken.

2013 NFL Draft: Seven-round mock forecasts every pick, 1 to 254
By Josh Norris ROUND 4 99. Chiefs: Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson. ROUND 5 134. Chiefs: Marquise Goodwin, WR, Texas. ROUND 6 170. Chiefs: Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma. ROUND 7 207. Chiefs: Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE, Auburn. For the sake of this thread title I just listed the skilled players in day 3 of the draft. Sounds like this guy read this article first. If you wanna read his entire mock, it was just posted. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap10...-pick-1-to-254 |

No mention of Baldwin?
Am I the only one that's at least reserving some optimism that in order to show he's worth 2 shits you have to have a QB actually able to get the ball to him? Yes, the Alex Smith detractors will say he can't either, but seriously, watching Cassel struggle even to complete dump off passes and saftety outlet passes to guys coming out off the backfield - often overthrowing them or leaving the pass short for them to scoop off down by their feet, which meant never guiding them with an opportunity to turn it up the field to make a play or pick up + yardage. Hell, how many times did he even set those guys up for getting lit up as a LB or DB would already be tracking the our back and ready to blow him up or break up the pass. Does everyone feel Baldwin is simply in purgatory and simply playing out his remaining rookie contract before unceremoniously cast off by the new régime? |
