Section 46.041 of the Texas Penal Code addresses the wearing of body armor (and metal armor).

The section was passed in 2001 and it prohibits a person convicted of a felony from "possessing" either metal armor or body armor. Such armor is defined as any body covering designed, made or adapted for the purpose of protecting a person against gunfire.

The section does not prohibit non-felons from wearing body armor.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?...It thought this was over last night. One less bum for the taxapayers to support while he's in prison.

No dount that ODB was a shitty role model and probably caused his own death with this lifestyle, but that still doesn't take away the fact that Wu-Tang was one of the most influential hip-hop groups in history. Many were influenced by him and his group, and the music progressed because of them.

Love him or hate him, it's still ****ed up to say something like, "I don't give a shit" about someone's death. If you don't, then keep your mouth shut.

Because it's Texas and felons should die? :D

Actually....IMO...it's a good reason to speak up when people with quesionable morals want to give this guy a pass even though he "was one of the most influential hip-hop groups in history". Bottom line...he's a POS criminal...now if you want to celebrate that...go ahead...but don't be all sore about it when I call like it is.

jspchief 11-15-2004 03:10 PM

I give a shit. I'm glad he's dead.

He was a career criminal that fathered a bunch of illegitimate children that he didn't even have the decency to support financially. The world is a better place without him. There are enough talented artists in the world that his skills won't be missed as much as the burden he put on society.

I have no interest in celebrating a criminal -- only his music.

Well, I guess you and I just have diffferent views. I completly agree that he was a career criminal and he deserved to be behind bars as often as he was. However, I don't wish death upon him because of it, particularly when he had his life turned around, by all accounts.

How long had he been out of jail. His past would lead me to think that he just hadn't been caught again yet. I'll wait for the autopsy reports. And he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt

Well, even if he HADN'T turned his life around, I wouldn't say "I'm glad he's dead." I just think it's a bit ****ed up to be glad ANYONE is dead. But that's just me. More power to ya...
