Since Condon represents NFLPA executive director Gene Upshaw, the chances of Condon receiving any "real" discipline (such as the summary decertification imposed on IMG turncoat Darrell Will) were remote.

Tony Jones was an important acquisition for the Broncos when they traded for him in February, 1997, which is before the March 2 date on which teams are supposed to be in compliance with the cap.
