We have our Vince Young...his name is Casey Printers... :BS:

If he had went to a college where they actually coach their kids. His mechanics would be better by now, you can ask John Gruden on that.

Vince Young would be foolish to leave for the NFL. I (gasp) agree with GoChiefs. He's not an NFL passer. His arm is ok, but many of his passes float, he doesn't read defenses very fast, and his response to pressure is to run.

He's NOT an NFL-ready prospect. He has tools, but I think he's best served honing his game one more year.

I could have cared less who won this game... If Vince Young had been on the Louisville Cardinals and put up those numbers... I would still say, that was teh best personal statistical performance EVER in sports.

Name one thing more impressive than Vince Young's performance tonight. One?

Great athlete but no way those runs out of the pocket would work in an NFL game. Pro linebackers and safetys would knock him on his ass, as he should have been several times tonight.

Maybe not Chief linebackers and safetys, but other team's.

Bitter much?

kcfanintitanhell 01-04-2006 11:58 PM

No doubt about it, I was absolutely friggin blown away by his performance tonight, but there is still a nagging doubt as to whether what he has been able to do on that stage can transcend to the big stage: maybe it can, but in the bigs, IMHO, he has to stay a bit more patient in the pocket, or NFL linebackers will hurt him.
But then again, if he's got a good head, and willing to learn, he may become the bastard child of Peyton Manning and Michael Vick.
Hope he does.

Just think Mildcat fans, Vince was as much as a done deal for coach Snyder....the one that got away?

Pittsburgh, welcome your newest WR, VINCE YOUNG!

obesecomic 01-05-2006 12:02 AM

Nah, if anybody switched postions from this game, it would be Reggie Bush. You couldnt telegraph any louder about which play was coming when Reggie was in the game. He'll make a great WR/KR in the pros

Great first post-plus you chose a Halfcan thread to pop your cherry-Great start Rookie!!!

VY is much bigger than Vick and that is why he will be a force at QB in the NFL. SC blitzed him with Ting & Ting (B Sapp) and he shook them off his leg like a Poodle on his leg. He also broke many other tackles to stay alive in the pocket.

Running QB's who turn into WR's in the NFL are usually smaller and rely on their quickness to succeed on the college level. VY has the ability (McNair - McNabb) to take on a LB and still get a throw off.

No, that's a fact. I'd have said it 3 months ago if someone said something about Young in the NFL. John Gruden has Chris Simms on his roster, he made the comment that Chris had, had the least amount of coaching he'd ever seen any QB have. What's that tell you about old Mack Brown?
