Ok, I am too lazy to look up the information but is it possible that the production of the Rams Oline declined due to age or injury?

Fixed your post. Always wanted to do that.

That doesn't explain why the Rams went from the best offense in the league to mediocre. It might explain their W/L record, though.

Roaf has repeatedly stated that he wants to come back. I have a feeling that Will will return if he feels healthy now that Solari has been promoted. He's said that he doesn't want to play if the team is "re-building", however.

You're right about Trich and Dunn, though, Mr. Mike in SW-MO. They are warriors and contribute mightily to the offense.

It will work out. Or as Shannon Sharpe would say, "Mhuffa bim nebba no."

Was he wearing his pimp hat?

Don Blackmon is a guy whose assistant coaching career I have keep a steady, long-distance eye on. As a former VERY good linebacker for the Patriots, I've always rooted for him in his post-playing days coaching career.

IMHO he's been a very solid coach and successful coach. The Bills were a top defense in the NFL in 2004 in large part due to excellent linebacker play. His 1998 Falcons Linebacking crew was excellent, with Cornelius Bennett, Keith Brooking, and a few other guys.

He tends to coach in 4-3 systems, so my perennial hopes that he hooks on to the Patriots under BB are never going to be realized. He's also not a part of the Parcells/Belichick coaching trees.

You don't think? You gotta take care of the football. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take chances but you can't be all willy nilly not caring if you lose the football because you think your offense will make up for it.

Plus, you gotta run the football and have some balance. Here's where the Rams ranked in pass attempts/run attempts, starting with Vermeil's last year.

Pass attempts/run attempts
1999 - 20th/16th
2000 - 3rd/26th
2001 - 12th/22nd
2002 - 1st/32nd
2003 - 2nd/28th
2004 - 5th/30th
2005 - 4th/29th

I really like the Krumrie and Blackmon hires both are upgrades from the previous staff. If Donnie Henderson comes in as DB coach this is has a chance to be a very good defensive coaching staff IMO.
