This morning's second round of extreme storms has pushed the total number of homes without power up to over 568,000. Ameren UE said they hope to have most of it restored by the end of Sunday, but that many homes will still be without power for another 6-7 days. At least one municipality on the Illinois side is also without water.

What's liberating, and feel free to make the obvious joke, is when you open the freezer door and the meat's still hard!!!

Glad your back home....
Sh1t ass utility Ameren UE.

Maybe this will bring their lack of intrastructure replacment and planning to light.

Talked with folks in Wentzville last nite watching Cards
they were staying at hotel. Lived in N County....still without power.

Glad to be in St.C with Cuivre River Electric Coop.
Outage here 730pm-600 am on last storm.

Total outage in ~20 years. Less than 1.5 days total.

Now it's on to shitass Dishnetwork. All I have is a bent standpipe, and I can't get someone to come out for less than 60 and another 20 for the f@cking foot long metal tube. After just pre-paying a year of service not two weeks ago.

A lot of folks in North County, particularly around Florissant and Bridgeton, had no sooner gotten their power back on when they lost it again during Friday morning's storm. I got lucky. I live right at the Hazelwood/Florissant line, off Lindbergh, and we lost power for eight hours after Wednesday's storm, but only for a few minutes during Friday's. A couple blocks north of me, though, from the stop light at Schnucks on north, they were blacked out again until sometime today.

I wonder if there is an option here in StL County to go with somebody other than Ameren. CREC might be able to run power here, if people requested it.
