Why do you think Lou took the job in concessions? Access to the kitchen. Watch for CP to choke on a snow pea real soon.

No backup QB ever did a better job of holding the clipboard than Todd Collins. I'll bet he'll make a great Backup QB Coach someday.

How could you disrespect Matt Blundin like that?

I don't think Mike Shula will take a QB job here in KC when he has been offered the HC gig at miami

There's no way the Dolphins could be that stupid.

Priest4Prez 01-17-2007 04:26 PM

He was on their top three. I saw it on PTI. They were agruing about how the dolpins are that stupid.

So I guess he didn't get the Miami job

The Jaguars have reportedly hired former Alabama head coach Mike Shula to coach their quarterbacks.

Shula led the Crimson Tide to a 26-23 record in four seasons and was fired in late November. Earlier this offseason, Shula was considered for a position on Cam Cameron's offensive staff with the Dolphins.

Hello, Dick Curl

booger 01-28-2007 09:53 PM

I've got a feeling we may be looking at Mark Whipple the former steelers QB coach for the same gig with us. Nothing really to go by, just a hunch. Tomlin hired Ken Anderson for the QB coach job and I havn't heard anything on Whipple. I don't think Dick Curve will change roles to be the qb coach, i hope not anyway. Might be a reason why we checked out Omar Jacobs as well, since they were both with PITT las year.

I have no idea who our new Strength and conditioning staff will be since Herm canned Jeff Hurd, Billy "big tits" Long and Kaz Kazadi.

To my knowlegde, Donnie Henderson is still with out a job as well. I know he interviewed but don't know if he is still considered for the SF DC job. Manny thought they would promote Singletary, but I bet Nolan is affraid he will get a HC offer as soon as next offseason and wants a long term solution at DC. They are even interviewing KC's old special teams ace/modern day Rich Scanlon:

49ers | Team receives permission to interview Manusky
Sun, 28 Jan 2007 17:37:14 -0800

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have received permission to interview San Diego Chargers linebackers coach Greg Manusky for their defensive coordinator position.

As for Henderson, I'd bet if he doesn't find what he is looking for we might make a spot for him on our staff as asst. HC or defensive assisstant. Might be a good deal.

That's all. Just a few coaching staff thoughts.

shaneo69 01-28-2007 09:59 PM

Two other names to throw out there for QB coach: John Hufnagel, who got canned as OC by the Giants, and Mike Kruczek, who wasn't retained by Whisenhunt in AZ and who was a finalist with Shula for the Jax QB coaching job.

I didn't realize Herm canned all the strength and conditioning coaches.

booger 01-28-2007 10:06 PM

Kruczek was the oc for the last part of the season as well, i believe. He seemed to have a good repor with Leinart.

The star sucks, which is wasting my time bitching about chiefs coverage, it never changes, the same every offseason.

Wish there was more insight to this.

Priest4Prez 01-29-2007 04:47 PM

Shea still has his job.....for now.

booger 01-29-2007 05:10 PM

Proof?

He's not on kcchiefs.com anymore
