Ron drinks a lot, but that's about all I know. I don't know him very well. I know that you two are both stubborn when it comes to communicating with each other at times. I hope you guys are able to work out whatever's going on.

You only get one family. You have to make the best of the ones you have even if they haven't always treated you right. I don't know about your dad. There's often very good reasons to disown fathers. But siblings can and should work through their issues even if it's very difficult.
