send trent to cleveland for next years 6th round pick!

I think Miami did the right thing......I wouldn't have given up the 4 either.

Edwards is not going to worry about
having too many QBs after NY in '05

Why? Anyone with a brain can see this team is rebuilding, why waste time with a near 40 year old at QB when we have a young kid that is ready to take over.

At this point, I am fine with keeping Green this year and letting him ride the pine. This has been a ridiculous ordeal with him thinking he can orchestrate where he wants to go.

Paying Green his contract and letting him ride the pine with no plan of using him would be one of the dumbest moves in Chief history.

They will release him if that can not get anything for him. That is the nature of contracts in the NFL. He has very little value as everyone knows how much his contract is and that that Chiefs do not plan on using him.

Why would Miami give KC a fourth?

That is exactly why you do not keep Green. In one post you want to keep Green and in the next you state why he will be gone.

Direckshun 04-29-2007 10:11 AM

Just take the 6th and walk away.

So it's better to get raped on the compensation? We have an asset that we would like to sell, but we haven't received a fair offer. That doesn't mean you just give it away - you hold on to it until you receive a deal you can live with.

He has value in that he can help tutor Croyle. He has more value to a team that will let him start, but he needs to be willing to restructure his deal to make that happen.

Because they will be getting a starting QB, and they have shown in the past that they are willing to give much more than a 4th for a potential starting QB (Feeley, Culpepper).

Would you guys rather take a 6th and maybe a 7th this year or take a 5th in next years draft?

6th and 7th this year. I'd like to see as many young prospects injected into this team as possible. It's rebuilding time.

Direckshun 04-29-2007 10:20 AM

Trent will be worth even less next year.

Beck will have a year's experience and Trent will be a year older.

Just take the 6th and run.

How can we "live with" keeping him and paying him? The Chiefs should literally consider releasing him if he isn't going to start. To me that says just get something for him. I was hoping for a 4th, but a 5th sounds reasonable.

The fins don't have a 5th this year. That's why I mentioned maybe taking their 5th next year.

doomy3 04-29-2007 10:23 AM

I'd like to see us take a 6th and Booker if that is a possibility

Croyle is NOT ready.

He could start, but there would be serious growing pains.
