I think the Chiefs are doing a great job of house cleaning (and getting picks for it) and clearing space. With a couple of good drafts and some nice free agents, this team could be very good in a couple of years.

Could for the next year. I don't know how much room KC has but if they have a lot they should cut guys with big salaries for production and take all of the hit this year so they aren't on the books next year. That is most likely what they were doing with Hicks and Sims.

Last year we had a 7th round pick fill in adequately at RT until he got injured.

We also got this year's starting FS.

7th round is better than nothing. Sometimes it's damn near something.
