Fast is not really different 20 years ago, fact is the kid only runs six one hundreths of a second slower and likely that is within the margin of error for the stopwatch he was likely timed with.

I admit that was true.

6 hundredths is alot, and with modern weightlifting John would be running in the high 4.4s low 4.5's you got to remember he was a badass in two sports.

The Earth's rotation is constantly slowing down. Therefore, 20 years ago fast is actually faster than now fast.

I think John Elway was the best QB to ever play the game. If his son can be 80 percent of what John was, he's going to have a hell of a career.

Hey I am not saying Jack is going to be a stud, but I think we have people hating on him because of who his father was.

Still, that's asking a lot.

Talk about pressure...

You're a fine poster, Mr. kcxiv. Intelligent and consistently witty. But, gag me.

He's not going to have any career. He's a 2 star prospect even with his name going for him.

The highlight of his football career is that a thread like this was made about him.

Speaking of great QBs, do you guys realize the KC Royals could've had Elway and Marino if they decided to chose baseball out of highschool.

You're dead on about Jack being an overrated prospect due to his surname. That's correct. He'll be fortunate to get a training camp invite after his collegiate career.

To say this thread is the highlight of his career is funny coming from a poster that likely hasn't played Division 1-A football or even Division III for that matter. Let's pile on a 17 year old kid because he doesn't live up to the standards to being a star.

question, do you know the kid personally? The reason why I'm asking is due to your claimed residence

I think he should have named him Edward.

The immaturity in this forum NEVER ceases to amaze me.

John Elway was more than likely the greatest QB of all time. He was most certainly the greatest athlete that ever played the QB position to win a Super Bowl. He took his team to the Super Bowl FIVE times. I think he should garner a *little* respect from people who admire the game, especially a decade after his retirement.

Just because he played for a city that was 8 hours due west of Kansas City doesn't mean he's a bad person, nor does it mean that his children should be a target for low-class commentary.

Way to go  :shake:  :shake:
