Cassel is no better than Thigpen right now... He just plays on a better team
We could have had Gale Sayers. Just missed by >< much.
I remember this one time I could have won the lottery except I didn't pick the right numbers...
Lets see how Cassell does this Sunday against the Steelers. he's been good, but he hasn't gone up against a great defense yet.
I was close to playing in the NFL except for one thing........no talent.

And for all the terrible mistakes we've made in the draft over the years, I don't see Cassel as one of them. Who saw this guy coming ? You're talking about a QB that was passed over 229 times, with every team in the league having numerous shots at him. Most everyone was upset with Herm & Carl for believing a QB drafted as low as Croyle could really be the guy, so it's hard to turn this Cassel thing around on them. That & I really don't believe our support staff would've gotten Cassel "starter ready" near as fast as the Pats support staff was able to. But Sims, Blackledge, and on and on, yeah totally this organizations fault over the years, as one of the worst drafting teams in history this I agree. |

Would anyone be interested in my James Killian Fathead ? In honor of Black Friday, I'll sell it cheap ! |

Or instead of Joe Montana we could have had Dana Stubblefield. Our defense could have reached Chicago Bears type with Stubblefield, Milloy and Dawkins.
As the 230th pick he could have went to any team.
