I don't like slow safeties, either. Pollard would have probably been a better LBer, than safety, his coverage skills are the suck. |

He left his feet and threw his body at Hillis. Had he kept his feet and actually attempted to make a tackle using sound fundamentals, he might have been able to make that tackle. As it was, he attempted to lay the wood and ended up in the chipper. |

but that is only one play of many and i feel as though the safeties had a better overall game today |

They aren't terrible, and they'll have some games, like today, where they look ok, overall. They could be upgraded, but it isn't a real priority with all of our other needs. Still, if a guy like Taylor Mays is the best player on the board when our selection comes up, you'd be hard pressed to not take him. |
[QUOTE=milkman;5277631]I think our servicable are average, at best.

If Taylor Mays is available, our secondary would be set for 5 years with Morgan, Mays, Flowers and Carr.
Every good team in the NFL has a great safety. |
Flowers will be great.

Brandon Carr had a very rough day today. Just like Leggett did against the Saints. It's part of the deal for a rookie from D2. But that play with Marshall in the end zone on 3rd and long was really really bad. He just stood there and watched Marshall make a play on the ball. |
