Warner has been to the SB 3 times now and been league MVP twice.
Brady has been to how many Super Bowls as a 6th round pick.

The point is that a 1st round pick is not a guarantee either way and I am so tired of being told the only way the Chiefs can get there is if they draft someone in the 3rd spot this year. I am sure we can trade names, etc all day but the point remains the same that this year we have an undrafted QB going to the Super Bowl for the third time in his career and last year we had a 6th round QB go for the 4th (?) time in his career. Nothing is written in stone the day these guys are drafted.

True, but I am sick and tired of not trying to get there because we wont draft a QB and build a team around him.

I am not saying that is is a guarantee if we draft a 1st round QB, but the chances are greater than recycling QB's as we have over the last 20 years...

the problem is that, by and large, there is NO PROVEN formula for getting that QB.

aside from montana and brady (and if he wins, maybe warner), statistics show that the best bet is drafting and developing a first round QB. (aka, don't throw him to the wolves, get a guy to groom him/help him with film study, have a decent o-line in front of him, give him a few targets, develop an offensive scheme around his talents)

Way to put words in people's mouths.

No one has said it's the "only" way.

I want to see him inducted just to hear him say THANKYOU JESUUUUUUUUUUUUUS one last time. It's become a running joke.

The biggest comeback player I've ever seen. Unfreakingbelieveable.

The funny thing about most of this decade is, you look at the Super Bowl QB's... they all seem to either be high 1st round guys or nobodies who were 6th round or later or picked up off the scrapheap. There is very little in-between.

So given Warner's after winning comments should McNabbs be like this??

"Jesus ****ed me man!! I mean he jammed it up my ass and broke it off!!"

I mean in the interest of equal time I thought this would have to be the logical response :)

win in two weeks and he should get in, first ballot will depend on who else is on the list that year.

Well he still doesn't have the career numbers, but his other accolades will get in him. I don't know if he get in first ballot though.

Agreed. He played himself in today.

Some people might moan about the Cardinals in the Super Bowl but I'm actually really looking forward to seeing guys like Fitzgerald on the biggest stage.
