Are people more upset about Mr. Slappy or keeping Gailey?

I'm not happy about either, but I'm more concerned about the former.

I'm guessing Pendergast.

A guy who got shitcanned from leading the 18th ranked D that had elite talent on it. And he runs the cocksucking 3-4.

Yay.

I just don't see any justification for keeping Tim Krumrie.

Pendergast looks like a buddy hiring. I thought we passed that.

BigRock 02-17-2009 05:53 PM

If anyone seriously thought they'd be able to build an entirely new coaching staff in one offseason, especially with the late start, they're smoking bat shit cigars.

I bet 95% of the leftovers are gone in a year.

Me neither. Very disappointed and Pendergast as the DC is horrid

I don't either.

It makes me want to see NE's pre-draft board and see where Dorsey was rated.

Chiefs will keep Gailey, three other assistant coaches

DAVID EULITT/The Kansas City Star--01182008--Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Chan Gailey was introduced to the local media at a press conference on Friday afternoon at Arrowhead, where Gailey spoke about fixing the Chiefs lackluster offense in 2008. cutline: New offensive coordinator Chan Gailey will be charged with resuscitating a Chiefs offense that finished next to last in scoring last year.
The Chiefs will retain offensive coordinator Chan Gailey as well as three other assistant coaches off Herm Edwards' staff: Tim Krumrie, Bob Bicknell and Joe D’Alessandris.

The Chiefs also hired seven new assistant coaches: Joel Collier, Gary Gibbs, Steve Hoffman, Bill Muir, Clancy Pendergast, Pat Perles and Dedric Ward. The Chiefs didn't designate duties for any of these coaches. But Gailey (offense) and Gibbs (defense) are the likely coordinators. From their coaching backgrounds, it's also possible Krumrie will coach the defensive line, Pendergast the linebackers, Collier the secondary, Ward the wide receivers, Bicknell the tight ends and Hoffman the special teams.

D'Alessandris, Perles and Muir all have experience coaching the offensive line. There is no obvious candidate to coach the running backs.

If he really thinks that poorly of Dorsey it's nice to know he sees fit to flush a top 5 pick.

Ok if Gibbs is the DC I am going to puke

ZootedGranny 02-17-2009 05:57 PM

As shitty as Krumrie is, I'm more troubled with the new hires.

Do you see that much of a difference between him and Pendergast?

It's either Shitty #1 or Shitty #1a.

kcxiv 02-17-2009 05:58 PM

Only thing i am upset about is keeping Krumrie. I am ok with the rest of it.
