It really depends on what type of offense Spags puts in and if they will run more than pass they will take the kid who run blocks better or vice versa. But who really knows?

F'n Andre really screwed himself:shake:

StcChief 03-10-2009 04:16 PM

Here's another take

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcwest/0...nsas-City.html

The word around Kansas City is that the Chiefs could be open to moving Branden Albert, the No. 15 overall pick last year, to right tackle. The Chiefs could conceivably use the No. 3 draft pick on a left tackle. Yet, the availability of Pace could be tempting to Kansas City.

Hmmm...where's this "word" coming from?
And if we're open to moving him to RT....

KCDC 03-10-2009 04:51 PM

Mayock is saying the Lions should not take Stafford. So, if they take Curry, as he is mocking, the Rams clearly take what they view is the best LT, that leaves us with little choice but to take the other LT Monroe/Smith unless we trade down.

Maybe someone will want to trade up to get Stafford, but I doubt the 49ers or Jets will worry that they need the #3 to get him.

So, unless Pioli can find a way to trade down, it looks like we either get Curry or either Monroe/Smith. Not much in the way of suspense.

**** that he is fine where he is at LT

Why in god's name would you move Albert to RT when his footwork and his pass blocking are his strong suit? He's not a mauler, he's a technician.

ChiefMojo 03-10-2009 05:18 PM

If we bring in Pace, let it be RT, not LT. Keep Albert just where he is! Pace would be a definitely upgrade over Macintosh. Keep Big Mac as the back-up and if Pace goes down, you insert him back in at RT. Pace still has a little in the tank, imho.

Nowhere. I have no idea why anyone gives the slighest bit of credibility to the AFC West blogger at ESPN. Not that anyone here was giving him credibility... I'm just talking in general.

The guy is an ex-Denver newspaper writer. He has no clue what the Chiefs are thinking. If the guy reports something directly, like "Romeo Crennel's agent told me this", then that's one thing, but most speculation on this board is more valuable than his insight.

Albert is a prime example. Williamson has been on for months about how the Chiefs could draft an OT at #3, and now he's trying to back it up with "word is". Like "word" of anything is leaking out around Arrowhead these days.

In closing, I'd like to pop that guy right in the nose. THE NOSE, I SAY.

Yep.

I thought it was on lock down, however? Loosened up a bit?
