He'd be nuts to stay at Tennessee for another season with the potential of a let down season, freak injury and possible upcoming rookie cap. He's already a top 5 prospect anywho.

TCU is now playing in the ACC? :shake:

Hughes is a beast and IMO would be a great pass rusher standing up at OLB in the 3-4, but he plays in the mountain west conference, not the ACC.

Like you said a 1st round pick shit he could be a top 5 pick. You don't walk away from that cake.

I've been saying this for a looong time now.

The Safety position is about to become a premier position in this league. The money, and draft position is about to skyrocket, and more high caliber athlete's will stay at, or convert to safety early in their amateur careers.
A few of the best safeties to ever play are playing today, and I believe Most of the best safeties to Ever play will be coming into the league in the next 5-10 years.

All you have to do is look at what Indy, Pittsburg, and Baltimore's defenses look like with and without their star safeties in on the field. You have an impact guy like that on the field and it changes the entire game. We need one!

If football doesn't work out... He'll still have something like $15-20M of guaranteed money... And I'm guessing he can go back to school with that...I mean, I know tuition is high and everything, but...

News flash. We win 2 or 3 more games, and we probably are not picking in the top 10. And that may be a good thing. Might be able to get one of the 3 FA NT's if it looks like this team is on the rise instead of just floundering like the Rams the past few years.

No way does a 5-11 team pick outside the top 10 this year.

Right now we are picking 9th with a 3-7 record. Hell, we are only 3 games out of picking 24th. 5-11 very well may be in the top 10. But 6-10 could be 15th or so as well.

Actually 6-10 only gives us a 1% chance for drafting as high as 13th. Even 7 wins only gives us a 6% chance of drafting 15th or later.

Realistically, we are looking at between 4th and 10th. We are going to have to have unlikely things happen to bust out of that box.

I stand corrected. BTW, what is the percentage for 6-10 picking 10th?
