Dorsey and a second for the #2 pick and draft Suh and then Berry/McClain at #5.

I like Dorsey, but he will never be what he should be in this scheme, even though he will undoubtedly be a solid player in it. Suh could be a star and paired with Berry at safety or McClain at ILB would make this defense pretty good sooner rather than later and we would all of a sudden have a identity on defense.

If they would do it for Calvin straight up, that would be a deal.

I think some here have his value pegged way too low.

DBOSHO 01-20-2010 04:08 PM

Why would suh be any better than dorsey in a 3-4?

OnTheWarpath15 01-20-2010 04:09 PM

ROFL @ anyone who thinks this organization is happy about paying another Top 5 pick this year, much less TWO.

Here's the question I've yet to see asked:

IF we were to trade Dorsey, how much guaranteed money do we still owe him?

ToxSocks 01-20-2010 04:11 PM

Ok, uhm, so the Chiefs aren't happy with Dorsey yet Haley consistantly praises him.

I guess I was just looking at it from a "how can we improve our football team" instead of "how can we improve our team while saving money" Suh could be an all pro defender where Dorsey in this scheme can be a 1-2 time probowler at best...again, in my opinion. Laugh all you want, I have very thick skin bud.

I should have added a disclaimer that I believe they will get this 2 year CBA extension in place that includes a rookie slotting system that will be implemented for this years draft class. So much depends on the CBA deal that everything is ultimately nothing more than speculation right now to the utmost. My posts in this thread and others in it are no different.

All Im saying is IMO the difference between Suh in this scheme and Dorsey in it is worth a second rounder, even in a draft that will feature some great prospects in that round.

Yeah like the Lions are going trade away Calvin Johnson for Glenn Dorsey. Get ****ing real

I'm counting on some kind of base compensation agreement for rookies next year. Honestly, that's the only way I can see Clark not arguing for a trade down. It wouldn't be so bad if we were paying for impact players, but we're not ... we, apparently, have been paying high draft pick money for role playing type guys.

You'd get laughed at for suggesting CJ-for-Dorsey in Madden too.

MOhillbilly 01-20-2010 04:30 PM

last ditch effort for gunther, he politics his ass off, KC gets heavy compensation.

Mr. Laz 01-20-2010 04:33 PM

mofo's can lick my taint if they think swapping picks(trading up 3 picks)in any round is gonna be enough to get dorsey.
