As long as the aircraft knew what he meant then I am cool with it.

There was no danger folks .... nothing to see here.

Hey! We agree.

Why? The original Child's Play was an entertaining horror film.

This.

I think the initial furor will die out & these guys keep their jobs.

What the kid actually did wasn't dangerous, IMO.

However, Rainman makes an excellent point - kids are ****ing reeruned.

This one didn't do anything exceedingly stupid, but that's ultimately just defying the odds. I'm fairly certain that I'd have said something dumb if given the opportunity.

It wouldn't have taken much for the entire situation to have gotten ugly had that kid just popped off the first thought that went streaking through his head. Children are not known for their impulse control.

In the end, it's not what the kid did that bothered me, but what he could have done given the position he was put in.

Exactly.

It's just a product of America being America. No gun sound effects in songs...

LOL.. my son actually got to pilot a real locomotive on a real local run on one sunny day. His papa could probably have gotten fired for arranging it, but he'll never forget that day. Got to blow the whistle, run the throttles, and even press the "keep alive" button.

He had the best papa ever.. clearly :)

BNSF greased a guy up here a couple of years ago for doing this.
