You could probably give the guy a bowl of chocolate ice cream and the guy would swear that he read somewhere (and saw the youtube video) that it isnt really chocolate and is actually strawberry.

You could show the ****er the box that clearly says "chocolate" and argue to no end that what you gave him was chocolate and that strawberry icecream isnt brown, but he would never admit he was wrong and would take his stupidity to the grave.

What is the point in having a conversation with someone that even when he is dead wrong, thinks he is right and wont admit being wrong no matter what?

The guy puts up highlight videos of Okung that show him being literally pushed right into the quarterback (in a spread offense, built on quick decision pasing) on half the plays by the DE and he still thinks that helps his case...

You best reply yet, but you are incorrect with your hypothetical assessment in paragraph four. I am not wrong. I would admit being wrong if I was. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending upon your perspective, I'm not wrong often. Infinitesimally so. It's both a blessing and a curse, and my cross/albatross that I must bear alone.

You win the Douche of the Offseason Award. Congrats.

I like his hair. If he was 135 lbs. lighter and had a vagina, I might consider it.

I'm coming around to liking a Clausen pick. I've not given up on Cassel, but I understand the logic of taking Clausen at #5 if Weiss is so high on him.

I can also be happy with Berry, for all the reasons overstated.

As for O-Line, I understand the need and Sacc has provided a good enough case as to why I shouldn't be too upset if they take Okung or some other lineman.

So, I'm trying to get excited about the Clausen piick; but, am willing to trust Pioli & Co. to do the best they can with who is available.

How it actually turns out, I think, is that we wait for the Redskins to pick with held breath. If they take Clausen because Bradford is gone (QB is 60% likely in my opinion, as I live in DC and Snyder now knows the value of a franchise QB, and everyone agrees it aint Campbell) then we take Berry or an OL.

If Washington takes an O-lineman (40% likely) then, I suspect that Pioli trades our pick to Cleveland or Buffalo. He will sense the opportunity to trade our #5 and still get either Berry or an OL at #7 or #9. He will get Brady Quinn for next to nothing and we'll get an extra pick by trading down. That will be too hard to pass up for Pioli (notwithstanding Weiss' plea). It also maybe that the Chiefs are trying to leak stories about how wild Weiss is to take Clausen that it drives up the #5 pick value sufficiently to trade to Holmgren or Buffalo.

I see the trade scenario as more likely if Clausen falls to us at #5. So, I don't think he's likely to be a Chief.

You also have to think in terms of job security for the guy in charge of making decisions. As a GM you're still an employee and obviously wanna keep that 5 million dollar salary coming in as long as possible.

It's bad enough that drafting Clausen basically admits Cassell (and Piolis major decision) was a failure, but with high round QBs being a crapshoot what if Clausen comes in and sucks it up too? How much more likely (and rapidly) will that get Peeholi run outta town?

That would be 2 quick fails at QB. Not good for a GM.

Sticking with Cassell buys Pioli at least another 2-3 credible years after this one to try to find another guy, and then another 2 years to evaluate that guy.

worse than having him not try anything and then if Cassel fails the entire rebuilding project has to be shit canned and started over?

fyi - i'm not giving up on Cassel yet but pretty soon we should be getting better and then won't be high enough in the draft to pick a QB.

Cassel needs to go to the glue factory.
