And you admit to actually liking the second one. Talk about losing credibility!

The grail is not cooler than the Ark. I'll admit the sequence where he heals his father is just about the most powerful scene in any of the three movies, though.

But Crusade is basically Raiders lite. It's not a bad film by any means, but it's not perfection like Raiders. It's sloppy in parts.

It doesn't quite pull off the action it wants to, like Raiders does so perfectly. A good example of this is when Indy whips his father's ankle on the tank, and Sallah pulls him off. That whole sequence is sloppy. It's not convincing. It probably looked really awesome on storyboards but they didn't execute it quite right, especially when you see Colonel Vogel just sort of standing there holding Harrison Ford while he has the whip around his father's ankle, waiting for Sallah to grab him.

There's nothing sloppy in Raiders.

Raiders might be the most perfect action film ever.

Grail is cool, but like GoChiefs mentioned, its basically Raiders light.

Ive always liked Doom. I like that its darker, i like that its a prequel.....i like the action.....Even Willie and Short Round grew on me.

as long as they don't show that piece of crap that came out a few years ago, that would be pretty darn cool!

No, that would be Die Hard, and it's not even close.

They're serving a six-course meal to sate your sizable appetites during the screening.

Tickets are $96. It's an extra $25 for drinks, but I want to enjoy this experience sober.

Has anyone been to the Austin Alamo Drafthouse Cinema before? Is it worth that kind of dough? I don't want to get there and see it's some tiny screen that wasn't even worth my time, gas or money.

Another way NOT to get laid in Austin.

Raiders is the best 30s/40s style adventure flick ever made. Tough to compare it to modern action films - although it's obviously "modern", it's just a different kind of animal.

I'm with zod on the 3rd one. I liked it a lot, albeit not as much as the first. The second one never worked for me at all.

If we're talking PURE action, the greatest action flick ever is...

Those are both great movies, but Die Hard has one of the greatest villains of all time in Hans Gruber. He makes the difference.

After Rain Man's smell olympics, We should have a Herolympics in which we pit cinema's greatest action heroes against each other. You guys game?

Well, for pure over the top action, my money is on John Woo's Hard Boiled. Great stuff.....that last hour in the hospital is just insane.

There's no research required. Rain Man had people nominate smells.
