I did, because honestly, I'm trying to make sense of the pick.

He's not Welker. But he damn well needs to be to justify that pick. :doh!:

2 out of 4 picks are starters. In this draft, that's an F. Drafting Berry instead of Okung made me move it up to a D.

I'd say 3 out of 4 if not 4.

Berry starts...
Mccluster is 1st string slot
Arenas will be the punt returner if not kick and punt
Asamoah could win a starting spot if he can beat out Lilja

it sickens me that we passed on clausen and cody for the ying-yang twins. ****.

BryanBusby 04-23-2010 07:17 PM

Give it a flat C. Berry of course was total win, McCluster I understand, Williams I don't even ****ing know and Aso is a great pick. Would of liked to have seen some attention along the front 7 of the D, hence why it's a C.

I fully expected them to not take Clausen, so I'm not butthurt like others on CP. I'm glad as hell they didnt take fat tits.

We just drafted a mid second round player in the 3rd. Stop saying that is a C

Berry is an A
Assmooga is a A simply because he could be an immediate starter and is not the pathetic disaster of the 2nd round picks...but we still took a guard while having no nt and no lbs or pass rushers on an absolute joke of a defense

Well, look at it this way, overall, so far it's a pretty solid draft. Im with ya on the defense. I think that is the direction they should of gone in the 2nd preferably either NT or LB with both picks.

I still like McCluster though. He is gonna make an impact, and is not that bad of a pick. The team has many question marks and holes as it is, and is not going to address it all in one night anyway. Im still expecting them to be sh*t next year. I think they'll improve but they'll be in position to get another good draft pick next year imo.

Rebuilding process could be long one. We can't always expect them to pick the guys we want. But if they're still getting good value with their picks and making use of them, that is what matters most. I can see that coming out of this draft so far.

Jethopper 04-23-2010 07:20 PM

According to espn draft tracker.
What he brings: We are surprised Asamoah made it this far down the board. As a run blocker he takes very good angles, shows functional inline power and is an excellent blocker in space. He also shows good awareness in pass protection and should develop quickly into a starter who has a long, productive career.

He's DeSean Jackson size, a bit smaller. I don't see him having the flat out 40 time speed though. And without a compact frame like sproles or someone similar you have to worry about injury. I don't mind the risk with the pick though. Just taking arenas in the same round with as many needs and quality there irks me.

RedThat 04-23-2010 07:21 PM

Asamouh is a great pick. No doubt.

ForeverChiefs58 04-23-2010 07:31 PM

why would ANYONE not take a player in the 2nd that you have rated as top 5, or top 10 or even in the first round!

booger 04-23-2010 07:41 PM

Ellis Hobbs from Iowa St. and was a cb and KR is probably a good comparrison for arenas. better returner than CB.

AZChief 04-23-2010 07:47 PM

Berry: A/95% (glad they went w/ playmaker rather than OL at 5)
McCluster: C/75% (v. good player, not a great fit)
Arenas: D-/60% (awful pick given we already took McC and the holes on roster)
Asamoah: A-/90% (great value at needed position)
Moeaki: F/55% (why did God make me a Chiefs' fan?)

Overall: C/75%
