To each their own, but I thought the place was a shit hole. Dirty city and rude arrogant people. I see where it gets its less than steller reviews. |
If you're getting married in May, weather is not a hindrance no matter where you choose to go.
What do you mean by "historical stuff"? That could cover a lot of areas. What other hobbies/interests? Theme parks? Cruises? Does she like sunning on the beach? Looking through museums? Shopping? Or is this just going to be a lot of :hump:ing? These are all factors. |
With a budget of $1,500, you're gonna burn a lot of it in airfare alone, so if you happen to have anywhere you want to go that could be done in a drive, that'll save you a lot. Just a thought.

What my wife and I did is take a local honeymoon up at Flathead lake and waited for winter to go to Hawaii. You may want to consider something like that. It would give you a lot of extra time to save up some extra money and do it up right.
Just a thought...... |

This, this and this....... I stayed at the Excellence. The name says it all. |
Look up all-inclusive. That's the only way on a $1500 budget.

A cruise is cheap. Getting there is the expensive part.
From what you described, why don't you go the opposite direction and go to Vancouver? It's beautiful. The beaches are nice, and the scenery is beautiful. You can go whale watching, check out the wharf, and go hiking in Whistler. It's a very international city, so it feels like you are farther away from the states (has a Hong Kong feel to it, actually.) |
