First off, you were incorrect in your original statement.
Secondly, before the uncapped year, players were restricted free agents after four years and fully free agents after five. That will NOT change, especially since teams around the league are beginning to decertify, which means there will be NO lockout and NO changes to the current system until both sides agree to a new CBA.
The last time this occurred, it took more than 4 years for the league and the union to ratify a new CBA.
So your points have absolutely NO merit.
