the 2012 Mayan prophecy intrigues me (because it's based on science), but anything in the bible I will just throw out as it's completely ridiculous and pure fiction. Church makes people CRAZY

Good, my sarcasm meter is working today then.

I've been directing my mortgage company to this thread for 3 months but they just won't listen.

I think if I knew for sure the end of the world was coming in 3 weeks, I'd start getting high on heroin. Apparently it feels pretty darn good.

I'd like to find them all on the 21st and ask them for the rest of their money....since they won't need it.

If there IS a Christian God, somewhere He is laughing His ass off at these ****tards.

Hog's Gone Fishin 05-10-2011 07:43 PM

I really need to find these guys . I've been thinking about buying an RV and I'm sure the evening of the 20th one of them wouldn't mind giving me theirs.

greg63 05-10-2011 08:35 PM

I couldn't get through the entire article; these people are obviously morons. If they really believed what the Bible has to say about the matter they'd have kept their mouths shut and stayed home.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. -Jesus (KJV)

Didn't the Mayans prophesy the end of the world in December of 2012??? I'm just so confused.

I hate religion. Everything about it. My "religion" is football, thank Walter Camp.

Speaking as a Christian I'm with you there; I'm not a big fan of "religion" myself.

I don't mind religion. Faith is helpful to most people, and helps them make order and reason out of the apparent disorder of life. But I do mind when one religion tells me all the other religions are wrong, and their word MUST be the truth. Frankly, since none of us know what came "before" and what comes "after" (when we die), all bets are equal. Maybe there's nothing. Maybe the Christians are right. Maybe the Buddhists. The Hindus. The Moslems. Maybe the Native Americans had it right, or the Greeks and Romans. Who the **** knows. We'll all find out eventually.

But, just going by intellectual premise, in regards to the Bible (most of which was written well after the fact, if indeed any of it IS fact, and much of it hand-picked to be included and many things left out that, at the time, they didn't want in there), to say that the Bible is telling you May 21st 2011 is specifically the End Of The World... they're ****ing reeruns. (I still thing it'd be funny if it turns out the Bible was a big joke, written by two drunk Romans in a bar a few thousand years ago.) I'm sure when May 22nd rolls around they'll claim they simply miscalculated, and they'll get back to us soon on what is the ACTUAL date... :shake:
