I don't think they give Bowe a new contract until after this year.

I think we should sign Tyson Chandler. He could help block kicks. Deshawn Stevenson could add some toughness and experience to our defense. Also, we should get Yao Ming since the Chiefs could use some marketing help in China.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. In prior years, FA's didn't make sense for a team trying to win more than 4 games. Now that we have a division title under our belts, it's time to "Make the Run".

It's not Pioli's style. This organization has been building through the draft these last few years and so far have done a good job. I can't picture Pioli running out and dropping big bucks. He'll spend some money on mid-tier F/A's like Bush or Breaston...but he sure as hell won't go on a spending spree.

From memory, I don't recall a time he's ever made a splash in FA. He tends to wait until the A/B Tier guys are gone, and picks up June cap casualties and C Tier guys.

The way things are shaping up with this CBA - having such a short window to sign guys - there's really no time to dick around. If you want someone, you better get your ass in gear and get them.

I think our FA activity will hinge on two things:

What the new salary floor is.

And how many of our current players they want to lock up.

Whats really funny is I read the Chiefs offered 6 ****ing million for Shaun Rogers. 6 million! Thats overpaying IMO
