He killed us only because, as was stated during the game several times, our Safties were playing WAY too deep thus giving him all kinds of room to run free.

In other words...any TE was going to kill us that game

No, he would not. If we get another TE we need a blocking TE. T-Mo is a much more athletic player than Heap. We have our pass-catching TE. We need a blocking TE so we can get into some good 2-TE sets.

Normally, I'd agree with you. With the accelerated F.A. period, I'm not sure how GMs like Pioli/Belichick are going to play it this year, though, so I don't know if "normally" applies. There's not really time to wait for the market to sort itself out and then pick off the 'value' players remaining.
