Liuget not working out?

I know Garay is a good player.

Ours has been worse than atrocious for the first two drives. Then something happens and they wake up. But like I said, as a Chiefs fan I'm truly worried about that little habit.

Liuget has looked good against the pass, but not the run.

Garay has been out. Hopefully when he comes back we improve.

My concern after watching that early drive is that teams will target Studebaker at the LOLB position all year long in the run game. They need to get Houston or Sheffield on the field early and often. That's what I see as really the only vulnerable spot on the field now.

Offensively, I've relaxed a little. They looked I thought a good deal better than the last three weeks, even in the stalled first drive, and I think they might just be okay against Buffalo, which was I believe what Haley's intention was. But we'll see. Only time will tell.

I'm still on the 11-5+ bandwagon.

6-10. Last years cupcake schedule is past, and Weiss is gone. Plus no injuries last year and several guys had career/last gasp years. This still is not a very good team.

As improved as we are on paper we cannot afford to start getting it together 14 points behind with the regular season opponents we will have.

Thoughts?

The Chiefs are soft against the run. Gonna be a long season if they can't fix it. People will say stuff like,"If it wasn't for that 1 long run we'd have been ok." Problem is they will be saying it every game.

Agree in part but the problems against the run are two-tier. The DL has a several weak links that will also be exploited....

suds79 09-02-2011 07:03 AM

Seems pretty clear to me that when you have Studebaker & Jackson on the same side, that screams to me weak link and teams are taking advantage of it.

I think Houston will replace Studebaker soon enough so I'm not too concerned about that.

But Tyson, wow. Really missing Shaun Smith right about now.

durtyrute 09-02-2011 07:10 AM

That's something that has been bothering me as well. We are not built to come from behind every game. That shit needs to be fixed asap. The only lproblem is I don't think you can fix it in one week.

Exactly. 9 wins is our ceiling, 8 if we're lucky. Our schedule is brutal, but our division is a joke.
